PEFC CHAIN OF CUSTODY POLICY

Jemaramas Jaya. Sdn. Bhd. (227317-M) , (JJ) has been involved in the manufacturing of furniture since the year 1979. The management is aiming for forest sustainability, in order to achieve this; the management of JJ is applying the PEFC requirement and committed to:

  1. Assure the integrity and validity of the PEFC COC system and its certified products.
  2. Avoid purchase and sales of the timber products from the controversial source.
  3. Sustain the forest resources through the implementation and maintenance of PEFC system practices.
  4. Provide employment opportunities and given the job to local people living within the vacinity of the plant.
  5. Provide equal opportunities to all and avoid discrimination of gender, job treatment, forced labor and child labor.
  6. Maintain and reserved the right of the workers according to the Convention 87 & 98 of the International Labor Organization (ILO)
  7. Create the awareness among the employees who perform activities related to PEFC and provide adequate training to ensure the   compliance with the PEFC COC requirement.
  8. Utilize the PEFC logo according to the requirement of MTCS/PEFC as specified in the document of MTCC/PEFC logo.

FSC® (FSC®-C148569) CHAIN OF CUSTODY POLICY

Jemaramas Jaya. Sdn. Bhd. (227317-M) , (JJ) has been involved in the manufacturing of furniture since the year 1979. The management is aiming for forest sustainability, in order to achieve this; the management of JJ is applying the FSC requirement and declare that not directly or indirectly involved in the following activities:

  1. Illegal harvesting or illegal trade in forest products;
  2. Violation of customary or human rights within the forestry or forest products sector;
  3. Violation of workers’ rights and principles defined in the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work within the forestry or forest products sector;
  4. Destruction of High Conservation Values (HCVs) in forests or High Conservation Values areas;
  5. Conversion of natural forest cover;
  6. Use of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations for any other purposes than research.

SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY

Jemaramas Jaya Sdn Bhd (227317-M), (JJ) an established furniture manufacturer and trader located at Jalan Haji Salleh, Off Jalan Meru, Klang Selangor has more than 30 years of experiences in the industry. In order to further enhance the safety practices within the company, as well as to be a responsible employer, the top management of JJ is commited to provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees and those whose work are under the control of JJ:

The organization is committed:

  1. To provide a safe and healthy working environment for all the workers.
  2. To enhance the safety and health awareness among the workers/contractors towards safety practices within the factory.
  3. To avoid unintended incidents/accidents and meeting the applicable safety and health regulations.
  4. To comply with the local safety and health regulations.

The employees/sub-contractors shall upheld the organization safety and health practices and to provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.

Jemaramas Jaya Sdn Bhd (JJ) is a reputable organization engaged in the manufacturing of office system furniture, including both custom-made and standard varieties. Our products serve both domestic and international markets, reflecting over 20 years of industry experience. Committed to responsibility, JJ's management prioritizes delivering high-quality products and services to our customers, minimizing environmental impact, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our staff and contractors.

To uphold these principles, JJ's management is dedicated to the followings:-

1. Ensure fairness and equity in maintaining the quality of products and services by consistently meeting and exceeding customer specifications, needs, and expectations.

2. Rationalize and optimize resource utilization to prevent environmental pollution by minimizing waste generated throughout JJ's operations (life cycle). 

3. Promote awareness of Integrated Management System (IMS) practices among employees and other stakeholders. 

4. Promote an understanding of environmental preservation among all stakeholders whenever feasible. 

5. Continuously monitor and improve IMS performance. 

6. Align IMS considerations with the strategic direction of the business. 

7. Adhere to compliance obligations and consistently meet customer needs. 

8. Provide a safe and healthy working environment for all employees directly involved in JJ's operations to prevent or minimize incidents/accidents. 

9. Ensure that all levels and functions within JJ adhere to the aforementioned principles.
